Dry season in the tropics always brings out the devil in me! It’s the constant array of parties, socials and soirées that come about with the magnificent weather. As much as I do enjoy being bad, I have begun to pack away my horns of late as I head down the path of being a good girl. I have decided it’s time for a change. I have dyed my hair from blonde to black and rolled over in the same leaf. The Jamesons has left the kitchen, I have packed away my pipe, my afternoon coffee has been replaced with a proper lunch and I am getting back into “shit-hot-shape” again after nearly way too long at being bad!

The Goth Clothes Gals ~ Sable and D* donned some pink shirts last weekend and participated in the annual Breast Cancer Charity ‘Ladies Golf Day’. As it was for a good cause, Pink was the new Black for the day and practically the only time I (D*), will be seen wearing anything other than black (or mostly black).

After spending the last 6 months with my nose to the grindstone it’s been my goal this break to get some sun on my ass. In Cairns, you can pretty much bet your wage on a sunshiny day anytime from mid April through to November so as my kids while away their holiday swimming and splashing, I am soaking up those gammas and I’m very pleased to report I have successfully burned some very saucy tropical tan lines into my formerly white ass!

The absolute highlight of the last three weeks has been the publication of my interview with the talented, witty and visually spectacular Lady Amaranth. I was almost holding my breath in anticipation of her replies as we corresponded over the last few weeks, wondering if she would answer some of the delving questions I had put to her. The interview turned out to be a great success, both intriguing and beautiful to look at (so if you haven’t yet read it ~ you can see the Lady Amaranth interview here).

In December, 2000, there were approximately 361 million internet users which at the time was about 5.8 % of the worlds population. In September 2010 there were approximately 1,971 million internet users which is about 28.8 % of the worlds population (source: Internet World Stats). Three years ago Google reported that it has indexed one trillion web pages with over a billion new web pages created every single day! That’s some pretty astonishing figures. Its easy to ogle at the enormity of it all and from one small Cyber Punks perspective ~ wonder how effortlessly one can get lost in all that data. So a backlinking I will continue to go… Hi~ho, hi~ho, hi~ho.
